Hi, it’s Biscotti and it is May 1st. The ranch is all a buzz because my mom, Candi is having a baby! I am going to be a brother and I am so excited! I really hope it’s a boy so I can train him to be the best alpaca team leader there is. As excited as I am, Monty is even more excited, because he is going to be a dad! He is nervously pacing the fence watching my mom. It is so exiting here at the ranch today! I try to distract Monty by telling him jokes and asking him to help me pull down a ranch, so I can eat the leaves, but it is not working. He is focused and very nervous! I can see the girl herd all helping my mom. Coco, Penelope and Anica are all staying very close to her as she gets ready to have my brother or sister. I can see a lot of commotion and the humans are in the pasture with my mom. Wait, what, who ….. I can see a little Cria stumbling around. Moms herd mates are sniffing the Cria and congratulating her. Monty is running along the fence to get a look as is all of my herd! I want to jump over the fence and see the Cria, I am so excited. Mom is walking around now, and she just looked over to Monty. I can see the joy in her face and Monty’s as their eyes meet. I am pushing myself up against the fence and can see the Cria looks al a lot like mom! Yipee, I have a baby brother!!! Soon my herd is congratulating Monty, who continues to stare at the Cria. Even Louie gave Monty a little nod of approval. I can see my brother walking around, he’s a little wobbly, but I know he can do it …. because he is my brother!! And he has the best mom in the world! It is not long before the girls are all standing around mom while she rests. My brother lays right next to her. The llamas take up watch to protect and serve the herd. I know he will be safe, but I wish I could go welcome him to the ranch. After all that excitement I need to eat some grass! Welcome to the world, brother Grayson! Mom and the girls will take great care of you until you are ready to graduate to the boys herd next year!
